Book 1:
The Revelist
(Debut Novel)

Intro:

The Revelist is my debut novel and the first of an up and coming four-book collection.  Books 1-3 will read as stand-alone novels with book 4 bringing characters and plots from the first three books together in an exciting culmination of the whole collection.

The Blurb:

The Revelist is a thought-provoking tale about Tyler Watson, a man nearing thirty years of age, and questioning the direction of his life. Prompted by his best friend, Brian Flynn, Tyler encounters two separate mysterious ladies. One is Helena Batista, a fortune teller; the other is Neti Gibbs, The Revelist. When the results of each lady’s predictions begin to conflict with one another, Tyler is forced to navigate between lies and manipulation, versus truth and true friendship. The destiny, for which he didn’t realize he needed to strive, hinges on his ability to determine who is there to help him and who is leading him astray.

The Process:

Although The Revelist is my debut novel, it is not the first one I started to write. Several years ago, I was in the midst of writing a book titled Latent Lucidity with co-authors in the early 2000’s. During that process, in 2005, a book title, The Futurist (title change to be explained below), popped into my head. The concept of who “The Futurist” would be as a character developed from the name.

That idea lay dormant for 20 years while I was living life without writing. Life was busy, and I just never felt as though I had enough time to sit at a computer, and certainly not often enough to get into the flow of writing a book. However, in March of 2025, my desire to write the story grew to the point where I felt I needed to find a way to make it happen. I came to the realization that, thanks to the advances of technology, I carry a computer in my pocket everywhere I go. My smartphone. I chose to start The Futurist (later becoming The Revelist) instead of going back to Latent Lucidity for multiple reasons. My writing journey needed a fresh start, and this story was ready to run.

I wrote the Prologue in March and sat on that for about a month. I enjoyed what I wrote, I gathered opinions from friends and family as to whether it piqued their interest. Then, in April of 2025, I had more of the story come into mind, and I made it a point to utilize any downtime to tap away on my phone. I threw chapters 1 and 2 together in complete “Pantser” style. (Click Here to read about writing styles on the About The Author Page) Again, I enjoyed where the story was going, but I had no structure and no idea how to play out the entire plot. So, that’s when I came up with the idea to write as a “Plantser” and created the outline. This small amount of structure put a motivation in me that jet-fueled the rest the completion of the novel. Within 4 months, my original draft of the manuscript was complete (yes, all 94,000-ish words written on my phone).

The title of “The Futurist” was a unique name when it came to me in 2005. However, since then, there has become a fairly well known use for the word Futurist which has nothing to do with this novel. Therefore, to avoid confusion based on the title, I decided to seek a different title for the book and the character’s namesake. As it happens so often, deliberate thought about what the new name should be was fruitless; one can never force creativity. But a new title popped into my head at 4 a.m. on an early morning of March 2026. The Revelist became the new title and I fell in love with it.

The Status:

Most of the editing phases are complete. My editor is working on a final run-through. I anticipate publishing the novel sometime in September or October.

Book 2
Memory of a Kiss
(Supernatural Thirller)

The Blurb:

Amber Fields had the best date of her life, ending in an amazing kiss. But that’s the last thing she remembers from that night after she wakes up in the hospital with retrograde amnesia after having been electrocuted.

Soon after, she begins experiencing flashes of images in her mind, seeing terrible acts happening to other women.

Amber solicits the help of her best friend and they set out to find answers to why these flashes are happening. She is determined to know if they’re real and if she is meant to do something about them.

The Process:

This novel first developed, again, with a title coming into my mind. Just like it had for The Revelist (originally The Futurist) many years ago.

The title popped in my head one night in February of 2026 and then the story ideas began to flow.

The Status:

I am currently writing the mid-teen chapters of this novel, anticipated to be around 27 chapters long. I continue to work on this project in between edits and preparations for publishing The Revelist.

Book 3
The Key

The Key is a project that will follow completion of Memory of a Kiss.

The Blurb

Carlos Mendoza lives a quiet, routined life. One of those routines is to play a daily, online crossword puzzle. One morning, Carlos wakes to find two words—KEY and EVERGREEN—already completed on his crossword before he ever even opened the game. That same day he finds a key on the ground with tags on the key ring. One tag has the number 232 on it and the other bearing the name Samantha Davies.

Curious about who Samantha Davies might be, he performs a small amount of research, leading to the Town of Evergreen. Carlos recognizes the coincidental words from that morning’s crossword puzzle.

This sparks a compulsion to return the key to its apparent owner, which turns his life from mundane to sensational when he finds himself in the midst of conspiracy and secrecy.

Carlos learns things about himself he never could have imagined, all the while racing to avert disaster before the disaster is his own.

Book 4
Synergistic

Synergistic is the culmination novel that will bring all of the first three books together in a thrilling conclusion. Characters from each of the previous books will come together, wrapping up the collection in a way that will make you think about the world differently. More to come in the future.
